Information Structure Technology

 

ATKOSoft Technology allows the system to organize in an integrated, structured way, all information and transactions inherent in healthcare service provision.

All information, whether medical or administrative, ranging from actual medical data acquired from medical equipment to demographic data of patients and insurance claims, is organized in a way that allows its automated, effective management.

Although the software structure is not visible from an user's point of view, the benefits this structure offers, are prominent in every aspect of the system operation - from recording treatments to monitoring the patients' health and from issuing financial data reports to the technical administration of the system. In specific:

  • The Multimedia Health Record (MHR) is the central reference point of the application for each patient and is used by all parties involved in service provision. It integrates all patient data including administrative information (demographic data, insurance data, charges, e.t.c.) and medical information (medical history, visits conducted by the patient, results of examinations, diagnoses and telediagnoses, care services provided, e.t.c.) including actual medical data acquired from medical devices (images, sound, video and biosignals).

  • The MHR automatically integrates all transactions pertinent to healthcare service provision. Whether these are Care Actions (i.e. blood pressure measurements), sets of Care Actions and Services (Protocols i.e. complete Check-up) or Diagnosis and Telediagnosis (i.e. Doctor comments, Expert opinion), all these data are automatically integrated in the patient MHR in a structured way and thus they are fully exploitable for further analysis.

The structure of the system makes the tasks of all roles involved in healthcare service provision easier and faster whereas the central monitoring and control of all data is greatly automated. In this way, administrative cost in retrieving and organizing information as well as in scheduling and coordinating tasks, is significantly reduced with obvious economic benefits for the healthcare service provider.
